Dan Oblinger is the leading authority on active listening practices for negotiators and leaders in all industries. He has two decades of law enforcement service, and extensive experience in hostage negotiations, police mental health crisis response, undercover operations, anti-human trafficking investigations, and police supervision.
Dan is the author of "Life or Death Listening" and "The 28 Laws of Listening". He is a contract trainer for the National Tactical Officers Association and is the sole proprietor of Leadercraft, a company that provides training and consulting to private sector clients. He is an international keynote speaker on the subjects of listening well, negotiating hard, and leading in tough situations. Dan lives on the Kansas prairie with his wife and five children.
